Mary Matha English Medium School is run by the congregation of the Daughters of Mary. The School aims at the allround development of the child so that he/she may live a meaningful life. Besides mere intellectual education of the students, the school places great emphasis on the careful development of the moral and social habits which are the basis for the formation of virtuous citizens.

Mary Matha English Medium School, Pothencode established in 1968 and now the school is celebrating 50^th year of Jubilee. School is owned and managed by the religious community of the Congregation of Daughters of Mary, St.Mary’s Province.

Initially established as a Nursery School, the school has the following years, become a well-known school with a curriculum from State Government that has enlightened many children in this area.From 2005 -2006, the school was able to provide better education by erecting a new building for the school.
